high priority access
Chorus HPA
100% CIR traffic class, enterprise restore SLAs, and up to 4 Gbps
Chorus High Priority Access (HPA) offers committed speeds without the high price points
Who's Chorus HPA for?
High Priority Access (HPA) is ideal for data-hungry medium to large size businesses that rely on their data getting through without loss or degradation.
Chorus’ High Priority Access product, as the name suggests, prioritises access across the network, translating into better internet performance for your clients.
Key Product features
High Traffic Class Bandwidth
9100 Bytes MTU Size
VLAN Transparency
Chorus HPA Key benefits:
- High Traffic Class Bandwidth – Chorus HPA uses High Traffic Class bandwidth which allows for simpler configuration compared to multiclass products since there’s no priority tagging requirement. High Traffic Class bandwidth is prioritised across Chorus’ network which means better performance.
- 9100 bytes MTU Size – Just like point-to-point fibre solutions HPA has a high MTU size which allows for better performance and reduces the load on network equipment.
- Single Port ONT and SFP ONT device options – HPA offers the flexibility to choose between a Single Port ONT or an SFP ONT site termination. This makes it possible to connect a wide range of end customer devices and locations, from rack-based equipment to cabinets and wireless equipment where space is a constraint.
Commited Speed Plans
What makes HPA different from mainstream UFB products is that you’re getting committed information rates instead of best-effort speeds.
Chorus High Priority Access currently is only available for 1000 Mbps with 2000 and 4000 versions to be expected later in 2024. Lightwire offers the following products through Chorus:
High Priority Access 1000 (for the Single Port ONT)
High Priority Access 1000 SFP (for the SFP ONT)
Australian MSP or Telco trying to understand where Chorus High Priority Access (HPA) fits in for your clients’ New Zealand branches?
NBN Enterprise Ethernet (EE) with high Class of Service (CoS) or Fibre 1000 are close comparisons, albeit on different underlying infrastructure with Chorus HPA being offered at a better price point.
